Hello,

This is my first time using ubuntu 9.10, and have installed it once on my computer. It was working then. I loved it so much that i reformatted my computer so that i can override windows XP, but after reformatting my computer can't seem to read my disc anymore. I have tried other versions, but they crashed my computer, giving me messages like corrupted hal.dll and stuff like that. If i manage to read it, it will have the ubuntu sign blinking, and then it will just stop and do nothing. No sound and its not thinking. Please Help!!!

Is the Windows vs. Ubuntu choice part of a grub menu, or is it some other boot loader menu?
