tired of a stable system i am on my way to a Hoary system.

but the download is approx. 256 MB and my net speed is around 2 KBPS [2*8=16=pathetic i know]!

So I guess I will leave my system off for the night and leave it! When I come in the morning maybe the complete stuff will be downloaded.

but yet another prob with my isp is dunno why but I am logged out of my account every few hours [1-2] . This stops the synaptic downloads :(

So is there any script which checks whether I am logged in or not every 30-40 seconds and then logs me again if not!

since the idiot isp wont solve the problem, so i need this :(

I login through a webpage i.e. i open my browser and type

http://IP.IP.IP.IP/loginnow.php3

there I enter my PW and login id and press enter :D

Any help???

I don't know of any scripts, but I'm pretty sure that if you're disconnected midway through, apt-get/Synaptic will pick up where it left off.
