I filed two bug reports to OpenOffice 'issuezilla'. Is there any meaning to file those bugs under Ubuntu Malone OOo as well? it's just a little confusing, so I wanna make sure I do this right. thanks :)

If you are confident the problem is located upstream then you filed the bug at the correct place. However, if it might be a distro problem then Malone would be where you need to go, and really if the Ubuntu devs are able to determine that it needs to go upstream as well they most likely will send the applicable patch along.

I guess that's just a long winded way of saying that I would normally file the bug at Malone (if it is a Ubuntu package), and let the devs determine if it needs to progress upstream.

hmm, it is OS independent, and I had this in 2.0.x (i.e. I don't have the previous -ubuntu's- version, I upgraded using the well known repo that I don't remember the name) so I guess Malone doesn't need a new bug added to it... just for reference, these are the bugs I filed:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=63140 (Cannot paste from calc to writer with correct format)
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=63141 (Word Doc Crashes everytime opened)

Well, to be honest, I'd like someone confirming the first one, but never mind :p

thanks for the answer, it was helpful.
