I'm trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 (ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso), but when I choose any option, it always freezes. Once, after a long time, at boot error message showed up. I'm trying to see if that error message will show up, but it is taking too long. Does somebody know why it's freezing?

Thanks for the help!

Need more info if you want some help as it could be any number of things. If you can get it to show up again post the error.

I'm getting it up. I have tried to run Ubuntu off two different disks.

Got the message. "I/O error: Error reading boot CD." Below, there is a button that says reboot and 10 small dashes show up below the message. When I do reboot, it doesn't work still.

If it helps, I burned the CD using InfraRecorder, with the default settings (write speed maximum).

Can or did you Check the disk for errors??

It sounds like a bad disk or bad disk drive

Try putting a disk drive you know works (like the one you burned it with) into the computer and boot from the cd again

Ahhh! I found out that I was using the wrong disk burner on my computer (the DVD, not the CD).
