Please forgive me (a pound, shillings and pence individual) - I merely want to install Ubuntu easily and without all the partioning aspects. I assume that once downloaded and when I first switch my Computer on, I am presented with a virtually 'black' screen that gives me the option to upload Windows 7 or Ubuntu - thanks for your advice.

1) What are your system specs?

2) So when you go start your computer, you a black screen and nothing else? If so, that sounds like a graphics card problem.

I have yet to download ubutu - i am merely establishing a few facts before I do so - forinstance, on the wubi information it states:-

Wubi will run on on all Windows versions from Windows 98 to Windows Vista except Windows ME. More platforms to come soon. Linux/*nix/*BSD are supported through Lubi (http://lubi.sourceforge.net/lubi.html) (download location (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=198821) and guide (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=441918)), and Mac OSX will eventually be supported through Mubi (developers still needed).

Has this been superceed - will it work on Windows 7.

Thanks.
