Neverputt graphics garbled

Hello;

I realise that this is not a forum for games, but I think that this might be a graphics card issue, perhaps.

I installed Ubuntu on my dads desktop - because the folks REALLY love neverputt. When I try to run the app, though, the screen is garbled, it is hard to explain, other than the window appears to be segmented into stripes and stretched across the entire screen.

Any ideas?

also you may try hardware drivers , its in system>admin

Thanks, I didn't see that area, I'll ask there. When I go to hardware drivers in sys->admin, it is empty - that is the window that lists drivers. Should I be concerned?
