heyy guYs .. :)

am just curious .. what's the difference between " ubuntu sofware center " and " synpatic package manager " ??

i used the synpatic once to download GTK theme engines ...

am just curious XD ... thnx anywayys

Ubuntu Software Center plans to replace synaptic in 10.04, so unless you really care about the differences, then it would be best not to even ask.

I use apt-get anyway.

Simpler GUI, less complicating, though not as many features.

I think synaptic will still be available from the repositories for those (like me) who want it, and prefer it.

I prefer synaptic, because it clearly lists what else is getting installed along with the packages you selected, and doesn't assume the user doesn't care about what's happening with his system.
