Install Ububtu 9.10 on Notebook ACER - problems

Hi!
I’m novice in this world of Linux so I need your help.
I’m trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 in my notebook ACER EXTENSA 5630 EZ. But when I choose the install option it freezes.
Any tip about how to solve the problem?

Does your install CD work in other computers?

Thanks for your answer. I checked the CD in other computers and i saw that it hasn't detected any of them in spite of being detected in the ACER. So I solved the problem creating a boot pen. And I have the ubuntu installed in my ACER notebook.
