View Full Version : [ubuntu] overscan problem on nvidia hdmi tv twinview

March 26th, 2010, 05:52 AM
I have a 22 inch acer lcd monitor and a sharp 46 inch aquos tv, I am trying to watch movies on my tv through a nvidia 9600 hdmi output. my tv cuts off all four of the edges of my desktop, and my monitor cuts off the left and bottom edges. I think this is related to the tv's overscanning, but why does it affect my monitor?

any ideas?

make sure your "view mode" on your tv is set to "dot to dot".
There is a "view mode" button on your remote.

Do you have the 60Hz or 120Hz? I just got a sharp aquos 46" 120Hz. Trying to figure out how to make it work at 120Hz right now.
