Sadly, I have an isp of iinet with a longway to go before I can get someone else. I've discovered that using my linksys wireless-n adsl2 + modem router instead of that s****t belkin modem "bob", it solves the speed issue without having to muck about with code.
So turf the belkin modem if you want a speed that is close to or the same as cable internet and get a store bought modem with iinet and toss the belkin modems in the bin where they belong.
only for oz users of ubuntu tho I guess.
