I do not hate windows but I am going to pay for Ubuntu stickers to put where my windows7 logo was.

I would like to take this time to mention those annoying 'Asus Recommends Windows 7; Life without walls!' that all the vendors do. It is amusing they act like you really have a choice. And by amusing I mean irritating.

I peeled mine off a long time ago, now to cover up that windows key and make it a real Super Key.;)

The first laptop I ever got, I tried peeling the logo off and it completely ripped the silver painting off my laptop.

Do it slowly and it helps to either warm it up with a hair dryer or use some Goo Gone to make the adhesive let go some. Main thing is to do it slowly and once it's off you can dab & peel it with the sticker to remove any glue that's left. Warming it up helps keep the sticker from splitting by making it more flexible too.

yep thats what i do also use tweezers so just in case you need the sticker later on
