Ok for starters appologies if this isn't the best place to post this...
I have an Ubuntu (Mint) based Dell Laptop running with a dock station and a 2nd monitor. The external monitor is 1920X1080 and the LT screen is 1440x900. So what I'd like to do is have my laptop change where my icons/windows are placed based on if it's connected to a docking station
or the LT screen.
So let's say I want my Trash icon at 1900x25 if I login with the 2nd monitor and at 1400x50 if I'm on the LT screen (e.g. the lower left hand side of the screen). I also launch Pigin and some screenlets (e.g. open windows) that will prolly have to move from say 1700x1000 to 1200x820 or so if I'm on the "smaller" screen.
Any clue where to look so I can start to script-kiddie this?
