System Clone/Disk change

I've got a nice new faster hard drive and want to move my system to it.
Is there something that can clone the current drive AND update the menu.lst with the appropriate device ID's so I can just take out the old drive and carry on as before?

If I understand your question correctly, in that you want to migrate everything from the old drive to the new drive. You can use GParted Live to copy the partitions over to the new drive. The worst I have had happen is having to reinstall Grub, which was easy to do with the old Grub. I don't know how well it will work with the new Grub and how big a pain it would be to fix either.

Lot's of people recommend Clonezilla. I haven't used it, but many have.
