here is info. looks like i have errors on some of my disks. although it seems to work fine. I forgot to says thanks for your help. I think you are right about the bios making it unbootable from the start I think maybe its time to by a new motherboard which i want to do anyway. its just when i get into something like this i spend every waking moment on it and it drives me more insane than normal.
