Hi Y'all!
We have done 2 Linux fests at ITT Atlanta, and they were really fun. April 24 is the date of the next one. Do you know offhand if the full release of 10.4 will be out by then. It would be cool to make this a release party for 10.4 as well. This Fest may seem a little early, since we had the last 2 closer to the end of our quarter at ITT. That caused some wild logistic issues at the school (at least for me and my team), so the event template has been changed.
The template is the fourth Saturday of every third month so...
April 24th, 2010
July 24th, 2010
October 23rd, 2010
January 22nd, 2011
and so on.
We have always had a good turn-out of ITT students, and this is a great way to humanize the Linux-using lifestyle. I have been working up a speaker list for April, and beyond. If you have a talk or a neat how-to presentation, please consider using this venue as a practice run for your piece. Expect lively interaction from the audience.
