Rails versus Grails

Hi,

I'm been programming for a couple of years now. Mostly Java and PHP, I've been playing with CodeIgniter recently and like it a lot.

I am about to start learning either RoR or Grails, but can't decide which one. I'd really like to hear from anyone with experience/knowledge of these development platforms. Having a background in Java obviously makes Groovy/Grails attractive, but Ruby looks so damn beautiful it's hard to not choose RoR.
