Hello everyone,
I'm using a dell studio 1555, with an ATI Radeon HD 4500 graphic card, with Ubuntu 9.10, Linux 2.6.31-20-generic
I've been using Ubuntu from quite sometime, and everything worked perfect, until today morning, when compiz kicked my pc!
Whenever i turn on compiz, my computer becomes sluggish, and acts like it doesn't know whats transparency!
It draws a black border around whatever is transparent!
And also makes the computer slow as hell!
It worked swiftly before, even on high settings, but now...
Please help me!

I have to show off my laptop to a chick tomorrow, I need to impress her doing whatever! So i need your help in fixing this problem asap

Found the problem!
My comp is using one of those openSource Drivers for the graphic card!
fglrx says:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Brian Paul
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa X11
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 7.6

I rebuilt the prop[i cant even pronounce that word :p] driver, but no effect!
How do I change my driver back to the prop driver?
Please reply...
