I've just upgraded to 10.04 and I'm really like what they've started to do with the UI...and now I'm looking for good fonts.

To start, I've been using Myriad Pro for quite a long time now, mostly because I like it's evenness on screen, and that it just tends to look nice with everything.

However (and I know it's a little anal of me), since upgrading to 10.04 I can't get my clock and date to sit side by side in the panel without increasing the font size.

So, is there any fonts out there that look as nice on screen as Myriad Pro? I would love to hear from you.

Oh, I guess they have to be free as I dont want to go buying fonts!!

Thanks!

I really like the (An)Droid fonts... in fact, they're all I use.

i like Terminus fonts, size 9, with 96dpi and hinting/AA turned off. They are the best, clear and simple fonts i've even seen :)

Would you have a screenshot of how mplus looks on your desktop?

I'm too lazy...why not download it and try it yourself!

I am using a combination of apple fonts I copy from installation to installation. I have kept the folder saved for many years and honestly don't remember where I got them.

It is one of the few changes I have made to my Lucid installation and I mainly just do so because I am use to doing it. The standard fonts package/setup with Ubuntu is pretty good by me!
