Radeon HD 5770 Crashing

Hey all

I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 again (wanted another linux box for my work) and activating the proprietary drivers for my video card causes everything to go mad.

I positive it isn't a hardware issue as I can run the card flawlessly on Windows 7.

Any advice on how I can go from my current status:

Fresh install
Update
Activated Driver

To one with everything working properly?

Try going to ATI's site and getting Catalyst 10.3 installed. Worked for me.
