Hello,

I am using InstallCDCustomization (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallCDCustomization) to create a custom ISO based on the "alternate" ISO of Ubuntu 9.10 (i386). So far I have got it doing the following:

Altered boot menu warning the user that the install will erase the drive.
Automated preseed file that installs Ubuntu without asking any questions.

Now, what I need to accomplish is adding additional packages to the CD and update all the packages on the CD. The wiki explains how to accomplish the first bit (additional packages). What I am looking for is the best way to grab the packages I need and update the packages that are in the original distribution.

I'm sure this isn't a unique goal, I have spent some time reading various web pages but there is a lot of information to process. What I'm looking for is the *simplest* method. I just want to get the job done.

Also, one more thing. The ISO that I'm building should, for the most part still be Ubuntu when I'm done. I'm not interested in making my own distro, per say, just customizing the install and integrating the latest updates.

Thanks for your time.
