So I'm kinda stuck.

I've been trying to get my LiveCD (9.10) to boot but I can't get it to work. I get it to the main screen then I select "Try Ubuntu without making changes to my system" and I get a whole bunch of information to pop up... looks like techno giberish to me. Then I get what essentially looks like a prompt, except no matter what I type I get nothing out of it. I just want to be able to use my liveCD without issue.

Any advice?

Tim

P.S. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite Laptop that has windows 7 installed.

Hi,

There are several things that can stop a CD from working, dirt on either the burn or read LED on the CD-Drive, burn LED burning out, corrupt iso, burning too fast, corrupt CD etc.

Pulling together community documentation, I put a little check list together that runs through the more common ones.

You can get it via my Sig, or directly here --> http://forum.phillw.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36

Hope that is of help to you.

Regards,

Phill.

Part of my frustration is that the CD worked on my old computer. So I know the CD is valid. I just can't seem to get it to work.
