Well, it is not sarcasm. Microsoft sees RedHat as a HUGE threat. Also, take a look at the videos. :D

I did, they are f-ing awesome... "first they fight you"

MS would be morons NOT to percieve the next big thing as a threat.

I think that for internal servers and desktops Linux presents a real aternative, i prefer OpenBSD as the gatekeepers for obvious reasons but linux with proactive security (as in SELinux) may win me over in that area too given time.

Fantasic adverts I hope they do get shown around the world.
I'd like to see if IBM gets inspired by it all because with IBM they have the funding behind them to air ads worldwide.
Each of those videos were simple, cheap and effective I'm impressed.
Those Redhat guys did a fantasic job.

As much as I dislike the Fedora distro and the RPM package manager. I have to say that Red Hat is putting up quite a good fight against M$ on behalf of the Linux/OSS comunity. With some more companies like this and we'll see M$ going down soon.

RedHat does alot of good things for the open source community, so does SuSE/Novell and so does Canonical/Ubuntu. Each one contributes .... which in my opinion is kinda the point of this whole "open source movement" and I understand they are each companies and competing, but I think they should be able to put down the gloves a little while still fighting microsoft.

Which I think is the great thing about (L)GPL development, competing companies can all put into the same product and all get out.

That was an awesome commercial! Too bad it's so long that it would never fit a TV slot. But the video editing, sound, and message that came across was outstanding. Great job Red Hat!
