Howdy,
I can't get Ubuntu 9.10 to install... :(
First, I downloaded ISO image from official web,
Then I burn it on blank CD-R using lowest speed available from Nero 6,
After that I go to BIOS and change that CD-ROM will boot first;
Done. ;)
After that i reboot with CD-R, and it boots! Yea!,
I press "Install Ubuntu", it goes to black screen with flashing Ubuntu logo at middle of it,
After 1-2 minutes i turns black, ouch!,
I press "Enter", and there is a error message, something like this...
Busy Box v1.13.3 (ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for list if built-in commands.
(initframfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system
I can't get further, guys. :(
I remember, that after some time I install Ubuntu 8 to same computer, and I got the same result. I'm not sure, but I thought that i input some commands there, and then I was available to install Ubuntu 8. Just problem is - I don't remember what I input there... :(
IMO, it isn't a CD's problem. It's something with my computer hardware.
P.S. I ran Windows XP and all's fine! But I decided to switch to Ubuntu, so help me!
And yea, it's not required to create new partition before I boot, yes? I could do that in Ubuntu install process, I guess.
Yea, lot of text upper. :D Sorry about my English. :P
