Hi All,
The other day I scooped a bit of my Windows (Vista HB) partition off to give to Ubuntu. I used the Windows partitioning tool? in the control panel, which is what I used when I originally made my Linux partition.
I am having trouble merging (and/or formating to ext3) what I just took, into my Linux partition.
Then I thought; could I install 9.10 or 10.04 on that new partition. Can you (I) safely configure a tri-boot system?
I would like to try Ubuntu Studio without changing 9.04. I really like how well 9.04 works. I never used Linux until last summer when I got my own computer and was fed up with Windows crashing. Being fairly new to Linux, I do keep Windows around for a few programs that I have trouble with in Linux. I would like an alternative install, (already have virtual box), to toy around with, learn on, break and try to fix.
Anyway, the partitioning problem is my "real issue".
My system;
Compaq Presario cq60dx15
AMD Athion X2 64, 2X1 gig
250 gig HD
4 gigs RAM
Nvidia Geforce 8600 graphics
Atheros Wireless card
Thanks,
Joe.
