Help Me get "The Cube" to work

I can't seem how to get The Cube to work... I selected it and stuff but I still dont understand/know how to use it! Someone give me some quick steps? or help me at all? Thnx :)

Most likely, your problem is that after activating "Desktop Cube" before you can USE it for anything, you also have to activate "Rotate Cube". After activating Rotate Cube, ctrl + alt + left click and drag your mouse around.

Don't ask me why they are separate >.> Seems retarded to me ;)
