Are you referring to the MTP USB connection mode or is that a brand name? If it's an MTP USB issue then have you tried rebooting the computer and rebooting your player and then after both reboots try plugging in the player? Do you know to always right click player and select "Safely Unmount" or "Unmount"? Does the Samsung player have an MSC USB mode?

thanks for the great resources.. i still have not been able to get it to work. i have to reboot after each disconnect no matter whether i use the disconnect on the phone or the umount on the pc. but then nothing transfers over and i can't open any sub folders on the phone. like i can my ipod. as well as i can't try ms mode only mtp mode...well another thing that does not work i could never get my last samsung to work on windows either.
i guess i will keep on trying.
