Hi.

If I install Lucid beta and perform daily updates. Do I have to upgrade/reinstall Lucid after release? -Or do I allready have it?

Is there a "bloat-risk" with this method?

Thanx in advance.

You will have the full release by updating.

Bloat-risk ? I'd doubt it, but I always do a clean install anyway.

Hi,

a couple of things.

1) Lucid Lynx is still in testing - do not use it as your only system (make a partition for it)
(It's very easy to copy your existing ~/home area from 9.10 to the 10.04 test area, so you will keep all your bookmarks etc.)

2) Use the beta1 that is either on the repository today, or will be very shortly

3) Read this --> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1343449

4) Read this --> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1431650

Hopefully, I'll see you on the Lucid Lynx test forum - we don't bite :-D

Regards,

Phill.

Been using Lucid since Alpha 2 as my main OS.

Risky? I don't think so because I've taken advantage of the web!

I use Gmail so don't need to worry about saving mail files and Dropbox for my key documents. It means if anything goes wrong I can do a rebuild without loosing ANY information.

Thank your God for the InterWeb!
