Ubuntu 9.10 EXTRA SLOW, Can't stop Lagging

Hi All,

I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 on 4 computers at work. there is a huge problems because all of them are extremely slow (they used to work very well on windows, ubuntu should have made them faster). sometimes even the mouse lags. I installed The Nvidia vga drivers but it still lags, I have not seen any difference. Any Ideas for what I Can Do?

You did this by going to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers and check the box to enable the restricted drivers for your NVIDIA card

yes I already did it, still the same happens :(
