i want to see more of this, it shouldn't matter how expensive your video card is to achieve this.

an old laptop with intel 915 graphics has desktop affects with the chromium driver.


reese@ubuntu-desktop:~$ glxinfo

server glx vendor string: Chromium

without serious hardware.

and who ever said you couldn't have desktop effects enabled with intel graphics?

I've never had a problem with it.. except maybe jaunty, but that was an issue with the kernel.

And the only problem I had with intel graphics was on my Intel 945GM on my Gateway Laptop...

Blur plugin couldn't be enabled--well, it COULD, but your system would slow down so much that it would take 5 minutes to disable the blur plugin.
