Yeah I am crazy for being happy with ATT, I simply didn't want to switch carriers, so this phone is perfect for me.

I would have gone with the Droid but I wasn't happy with Verizon in the past, and I heard horror stories about how ATT has limited the functions of the Motorola Backflip.

I would never go with T-Mobile and Sprint just didn't look inviting to me.

1. Yes, I'm crazy. Thanks for noticing!

2. It's a joke based on the fact that every time 今幸福 seems to have decided what phone they want to buy, something bigger and better is either announced or released.

I finally made the plunge!...I think the Nexus One will keep me happy for a while.

I had my old Motorola for about 5 years, and I am free of being tied down to a contract with my carrier.

I'll be waiting for him to cancel the order and wait for the next big thing. Did I plug the N900 yet?

You mean the Google Nexus (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/16/google_nexus_one/) Oneyour refering to the loss of the TM for Nexus,...easy fix add a silent "g" in front:

Gnexus One

or

gNexus One

I'm in the same boat. Not sure whether to go down the Android or Maemo/MeeGo route. Nexus One looks pretty cool, though I'm not convinced about ordering it from the UK yet. The N900 looks amazing, but seems like I'd get annoyed with it for every day use with things like a short battery life and not being able to use it one-handed (landscape only). Then there's the new HTC phones, the Xperia X10, the Samsung Galaxy...argh, decisions!

My N900 review (http://davidnielsen.wordpress.com/2010/03/11/a-first-meeting-review-of-the-nokia-n900/)

(I'll write some more in-depth notes on the N900 now that I played with it a bit more such as detailing the really nice browser and the battery life which is slightly disappointing)

Some (http://davidnielsen.wordpress.com/2009/12/22/why-i-will-be-returning-my-htc-hero/) postings (http://davidnielsen.wordpress.com/2010/01/02/dear-htc/) on the HTC Hero and Android (http://davidnielsen.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/does-this-droid-owner-have-buyers-remorse/)

The N900 is a really sexy device and MeeGo support is coming soon.

i've had my nexus one for about a week now and i'm having a hell of a time getting data and messaging to work. i'm starting to think former cellone/dobson accounts are being shut out to force us to convert accounts over to at&t proper (i.e. i can't edit any info regarding my account online because i'm a former cellone customer).

before i go down there and ask them what kind of account conversion i need to do to get this all working again i was hoping you could post your apn settings so i can make sure mine are correct.

also, i know 3g data and messaging at least was working on my account because a friend jailbroke and unlocked his iphone 3g in december and tested it with my cellone sim. 3g, texting, etc. all worked fine.

thanks

*edit* forgot to mention that i'm also on at&t in alaska. if i can't get this working properly i'm tempted to switch over to gci.

In fact my data and messaging worked on my N1 automagically even before I got a hold of ATT and signed up for the unlimited Data/Messaging/Web plan which by the way was only $15 extra per month for me, definitely worth an extra $15 a month!
