How can i run ubuntu in splitscreen.

I am attempting to find ways to improve my work speed, i need to be able to run ubuntu in split screen to cut my work time in half. Please if you know any ways i can make my screen splitscreen and have full control of both at the same time please answer.

Split screen as in two monitors or one monitor with several work spaces? I'm not sure what you mean by split screen and what you want to have on each one of them.
