My Ubuntu has a great host of problems, but I guess I'll have to go through them one at a time.
My one Panel at the top disappears from time to time for seemingly no reason at all. The AWN dock vanishes as well. It occasionally does so when I open a window, and when I put my cursor over the panel/dock.
Specs:
Dell Inspiron mini 10
Wubi 9.10
Ubuntu Netbook Remix package, desktop launcher disabled
Mac4Lin 1.0
This started happening, I think, after I installed Mac4Lin.
Edit: I'm starting to notice a pattern here: When I close a window, the panel goes bye-bye and if I hide/unhide it it goes away when I mouseover it. It will only come back to stay if I bring up the shutdown dialogue and press Esc.
