I have installed Ubuntu onto my newer Mac Intel laptop and like it...

I have several older PC's and Laptop PCs that I want to install Ubuntu onto, and want Ubuntu to be the only OS on the computer.

1. Is that possible?

2. How do I know which version of Ubuntu is right for that particular PC?
example: Toshiba Laptop Satelite P25 Pentium 4 2.8ghz

3. Can I download from my Mac Laptop the CD for the PC?? (Ubuntu is not configured yet to search the internet on my Mac) (I am trying to manually configure it in Unix).

1. Yes, absolutely.

2. It depends on the specs. Pentium4 is fine for any version, but if those PCs have much less then 512MB of RAM, I would recommend a more light weight distro. With 512MB you should be fine running Xubuntu, while Ubuntu and Kubuntu might be a bit slow. With 1GB or more, pick the version you like.

3. You probably meant an iso image for PC, and yes you can.

With 512 mb ram, all should run fine. I ran Ubuntu on a computer with that amount of ram, and it ran just fine - much better than XP.
