Is it just, or does the newest update to Firefox change the name to Namoroka? I know that's the name for this release(3.6), but why did it change the name of the application completely?

it's not an "official" release yet, it's still undergoing testing so it's given a different name until it's proven to be stable. something like that anyway

It's the project name. if you want the Firefox name try the ppa's: http://wojox.homelinux.net/?p=67

I've had that added. I'm saying that I just got FF updated and now it's not called FF. It's listed as Namoroka under my applications and now doesn't have the fox in it's icon/logo.

Yes. I ran that anyway just in case I'm a moron(wouldn't be surprised) and it didn't update anything. It's still Namoroka.

You probably have the ubuntu-mozilla-daily ppa in your sources list. Disable that and leave only the stable ppa suggested above, then re-install Firefox.

For more info see the Installing Other Versions section of Firefox optimization and troubleshooting thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1193567).
