ok I'm not familiar with Xfce, I just downloaded it for a small computer I have on my network since I heard it was pretty lightweight.

The only question is how do I drag icons from the system menu onto my toolbar? I'd rather avoid creating launchers since they don't have the real icons. I'm fickle like that. :D but when I click and hold on the icon it just opens up the application.

its such a noob question, but i better ask before i spend an hour trying to figure it out. :P

I can't say i'm sure, but if I should give a guess I would say you can't drag'n drop icons like that in Xfce (it's simply to limited for that).

you got to add the launcher, then open the properties, now drag & drop programs from "xfce4-appfinder" to the big window on the properties of the launcher.

ps: lxde(lubuntu) is the new light, xubuntu(xfce4) is growing as heavy as ubuntu(gnome).
