I have no idea what to do. Need HELP! This is my son's computer and he needs it to finish his classes. He takes his classes online for JR. High. Can someone PLEASE HELP?

Hi and welcome to the forums, when you say 'recognises the disk' is that the boot CD, or have you already got it installed onto the hard drive.

If on the hard-drive, how did you install it onto there ?
100% Ubuntu
Windows AND Ubuntu
Wubi

Phill.

I reposted due to the fact I didn't think I was clear enough. I had Windows XP Home, but for some reason it didn't restore right. My son wants the Ubuntu OS 9.10, so I tried to put it on the computer. I downloaded Ubuntu, burned it to disc per ISO Recorder as directed, and put it in the computer. I set it to boot from CD-Drive. and this is what I get:

ISOLinux 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 Copyright (c) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin
Boot:

What do I do?
