Hello,
I've tried for days to solve this on my own and even posted on some other sites but it appears no one knows the answer.
A couple days ago I accidentally clicked "delete" when a warning message popped up on screen, since then application icons no longer pop up in the panel [this is especially inconvenient when i'm using empathy] and the windows are sized to fit the whole screen without the usual box to "x-out" of them. To close my window i need to go to file->close instead now.
I've already tried looking through the dkpg log to see if I could figure out what I did that resulted in this, but with no luck.
If anyone knows if there's a way I could reinstall whatever applet controls those function it would be really useful, I don't want to have to reinstall all of ubuntu.
Thank you!
Colleen
