Hello,
I am having an issue with re-installation of Ubuntu 9.10 on my HP 2710p laptop.
The issue is that the install stalls at step 2 and doesn't go any further. I can change the locations or the timezones but the install doesn't move on to the next step.
I am installing it from a USB stick. I have tried a total of 3 different usb memory sticks and have tried different CD images from different sites.
When I installed Ubuntu 9.10 the first time I had this issue until I repartitioned my hard drive a certain way.
I can get the laptop working with the live CD (USB stick) but I can't get the install to complete
Any thoughts on this issue would be appreciated.
I am new to trouble shooting in Ubuntu, but understand computers and software from a Windows, Intel point of view. I have a desktop with a dual boot of Windows XP / Ubuntu 9.10. I am in the process of trying to move to Ubuntu or at least a Windows XP / Ubuntu for each computer
Best Regards.
