I can no longer open files with umlauts from within Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. I can create and open files with umlauts with other software, such as OpenOfffice. My default locale is English (US). The only thing that I remember changing was a line to my profile that sets Evince to print A4 instead of letter. Did that mess up my language settings in Mozilla programs?
