Has anyone tried installing LAMP as a package or Apache+MySQL+PHP on a Asus netbooks running ubuntu karmic k. How demanding is it in terms of hardware utilization?

Thanks in advance.

The LAMP stack itself isn't big on resources; it's easily installable on your machine. The problem is in how heavily it's used. Your EeePC could serve fine on a home network, but it obviously won't be able to power Amazon.com. ;)

I have an eee 900HD, it's my main server for now, not 100% uptime, but that has to do with the fact that it's running at my mother's house and that I'm a minor. It runs just fine. Uses very little ram & resources.

Hi all installed LAMP on my ubuntu (EeePc 1005ha) and its running smoothly. I will now be able to get back to PHP and polish my PHP and MySql skills. Thanks again.
