Is ubuntu compatible for this device?

Ok I'm new here, and wasn't sure if this is the right section for such a thread. Anyway, I have a portable device, thats supposed to be a gps, and the seller claims it runs on windows ce .net (6.0 core.) And I want to know if I can run ubuntu on it. Some stats:

-has a Centrality Atlas-IV 600MHz processor
-480 x 272 pixels resolution
-4gb built in internal memory (also has micro sd/tf slot)
-usb data sync
-64 mb ram

So what do you think? Is it possible?

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution, known generally as a Distro, not an OS.

The OS underlying Ubuntu is GNU/Linux -- and its core is one of several kernels.

So, to use this device, not only would you need a kernel that runs on it, you would also need hardware drivers for it.

Folks have already done these kinds of things for networking devices, most commonly, routers. But that happened because folks got together and wrote the code needed for these devices.

Given that this is a GPS, it's unlikely that anyone has done this.
