Uninstalling Packages In Ubuntu

hey i m new to ubuntu and have installed jdk in my home folder is it going to have and harm...
wnat is the command to uninstall jdk. I installed it througn the binary file.
Please provide me commands through which i can uninstall any application that i wish to uninstall.

Hi and welcome to the forums,

if you used apt-get install to install it, then apt-get remove will remove it.

If you can post how you installed it, we can check as to how to remove it.

jdk will not harm your computer. It is just part of the development suite for those writing / developing java applications.

i installed it using the binary file of jdk
manually on the terminal
