I recently decided to put Ubuntu on my desktop computer (Windows Xp). I backed all of my stuff on an external hard drive, so I'm fine if any thing happens. But back to the point.

I put in the Ubuntu 9.10 Live CD and began the installation like normal; however, when the installation got to 60%, it said the the CD was deficient (dirty, poor quality, etc.). I then created another new Live CD and inserted it as normal, but when I booted from the CD, it said

MRB error - no OS,

and that's it. Strangely, I can only boot from the first CD - the 60% one. I'm going to try with a different CD and a flash drive the next time I get a chance, but for now I'm just going to ask for some help.

Check the md5sum of your download and also of your created Live CD.
