Ballistic gelatin?

nmap - scan, so usefull, i use it when not pen testing just as a quick way to map a network
aircrack-ng - wireless not really "testing" though, OPN/WEP = broken, WPA = safe i know that before i "test" the network.
metasploit - still learning how to use it but autopwn is a exploit scanner

todo:

They're pieces of software that you use to find, test, and create exploits so that you can reverse engineer the damage or failed security and thus, harden the system.
