View Full Version : [ubuntu] Headless installation

I'm going to be installing Ubuntu on an old XP box that doesn't have a monitor, mouse, or keyboard and was wondering if there was an easy way to do so without lugging the items mentioned above across the room and hooking them up (since I will need them to get to this forum if I run into problems)?

I was thinking that I might be able to boot up using knoppix or something, then get in remotely and kick off an install. Any thoughts or should I just get the monitor, mouse, and keyboard ready?
