When things happen, Jaunty & Gnome display a black pop-up "notifier" message. Some include sounds.
How do I
discover the list of events that poke "notifier"
modify existing event scripts and messages and sounds
add my own event scripts and messages and sounds
do like volume control and brightness but with my own displayable thing
