Hi there!
Is it possible to have my USB, when plugged (obliviously -.-) spawn on the desktop and show, instead of the classic generic hdd icon, a custom icon (a .ico file), maybe loaded from inside the USB itself?

In other words, is there something similar to the "autorun.inf" file used under windows environment?

thanks for this little tip ;)

It's so simple that it's complicated...

Just right-click the volume's existing desktop icon and select "Properties"
Then, click the icon in the properties window to change it.

No fiddling around with *.inf's, or *.ico's ... but I think Gnome will honor that too.
