Dear all,

I just upgraded one of my systems to Kubuntu 9.10. I'm stuck with a login loop. This had happened to me before on another system, but I forgot how I solved it.

I would appreciate your help for the alternative would be deleting Kubuntu altogether on the other system. Sometimes you upgrade believing you'll get a better system, most of the time the user notices no apparent improvement and at times you even get this.

Thanks beforehand,
Ederico.

I presume you mean this: You login, it takes you back to the login manager.

This might help. I don't use KDE/KDM. But a quick google search brought this:

If you can, for future posters. Elaborate, and give details.
What do you see, what is the process it's going in (Like the presumption above), 32-bit or 64-bit..
When did this first occur: "after upgrade, after restart", etc.

Hope it gets solved.

That's what I mean, yes.

I have a 32-bit system, it occured after an upgrade once I restarted.

I'll have to check the link provided when I'll access again the system affected by the problem.

Unfortunately, I cannot access the console. When I try to I get a blue screen which sort of flickers and has distorted graphics at the top.
