I built my new computer. I moved the hard drive over to the new computer. I tried booting up ubuntu and it gets hung at "starting init crypto disks" How do I get past it. I did back up most of my files, but I don't really want to have to reinstall (plus I'm having a problem with deleting partitions too from a live disc)

bump

please could someone at the very least point me in the right direction, I really need this fixed. I used this particular OS in my graphics pipeline and need it badly (it's an ubuntu derivative, running on gnome too)

if you can't, could you at the very least tell me how to keep this from happening (explained below)

I ran a live disc of ubuntu trying to delete an unneeded partition I have, but, for some reason, in gparted (which came with the OS in the live disc) it keeps on telling me I need to unmount the partition, but it's not mounted. even gparted tells me it's not mounted
