How can I get Youtube videos to play on Mozilla Firefox? I had to get the Mozilla version of Firefox as the Ubuntu version wasn't recognized by a couple of different websites I have to go to. Now I can't watch Youtube and a number of other webpages tell me I am missing plugins. I have installed Adobe Flash. I have tried all the other flash players I can find and I have installed the restricted extras. What else can I do?

that's weird.
maybe try a different browsers like google chrome. if that doesn't work, then try reinstalling adobe flash.

I can't see the videos in Chrome, but I can in Opera! Go figure! I just tried to reinstall Flash, with no change. When I look at my pluggins, I don't find Flash listed there. Any thoughts on how to get it to the right place?

Use the automated installer created by carlee (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1414595). This tool will install the best flash version according to your CPU architecture and will also attempt to remove any left-overs from previous installations, thus helping to avoid conflicts with manually installed plugins.

For additional tips and instructions see the Flash Optimization section of Firefox optimization and troubleshooting thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1193567).
